Application View

Article summary

From the Admin Platform's Applications list, select an application row to view its details. A scrollable sidebar opens where you can see applicant details, accounts and funding, disclosures, and application history. Scroll down in this article for descriptions of each field.

Use the arrows on the left to easily go to the next or previous application without having to select each application individually. When finished reviewing, select the "X" on the upper left to close the sidebar.

This article describes the information in the application view.

The application detail contains the following sections, top to bottom.

Header Details

Across the top of the application view, quickly see the applicant's name, application type, and status. Go to Application Actions for an explanation of the options available from the three dots menu that appears on the right for certain statuses.

  • Applicant Name – The applicant's first and last name; for joint applications, both names display

  • Application Type – Either "Business" or "Consumer" displays to the right of the applicant's name.

  • Application Status – The status of the application displays to the right of the application type. For a list of common application statuses, go to Application Statuses.

Alert Banners

Alert banners about required actions help your staff determine the next steps for processing the application. These banners display at the top of the application for the following application statuses: “Documents requested,” “Documents in review,” “Requires manual review,” “Funding failed,” “Too many attempts,” and “Funding unknown.” Once action is taken, the banners no longer appear.

Some banners include a link to View in Alloy to see the full identity evaluation decision in the Alloy Platform. The Alloy link shows for “Documents requested,” “Documents in review,” and “Requires manual review.” For more information on Alloy and the identity decisioning process, see About Identity Decisioning.

Application Details

  • Date created – The timestamp the application was initially created in the Digital Account Opening product. The application is created after the applicant submits their contact information.

  • Last updated – The date when the application was last updated. This could be the application submitted timestamp, but it may also be when the applicant returned to complete the application but did not submit it.

  • Application ID – A unique ID link for the application. Please always reference this ID when submitting a support ticket to Narmi.

  • Membership card (for credit unions) or Application record (for banks) – Once the application has been submitted, you can select View PDF to view the applicant's membership card or application record, and download the file for your records. The following image is an example of a consumer membership card.

  • Application number – Used for internal Narmi tracking

  • Source – Specifies which product flow the application was initiated from, either “Account opening,” “Online banking,” or “Staffer-Led”

Applicant Details (Consumer Only)

This section displays applicant information for consumer applications only.

  • Name

  • Phone number

  • Email

  • Date of birth

  • Social security number/ITIN – SSN or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). Select the eye icon to reveal the number, select again to hide the number.

  • Physical address

  • Mailing address

  • Existing applicant – Yes or No to whether the applicant has existing accounts at your financial institution

  • Selected core id – The applicant’s assigned core user ID. If your institution is a credit union with the “USER_ASSOCIATE_OR_NEW” or “USER_ASSOCIATE” settings enabled for existing members, the existing member’s selected core user ID is shown. For all other configurations, the system-assigned core user ID is shown. Your institution can enable displaying this field in the application view by going to the Admin Platform under Configurations > Institution Settings > Show selected core user ID.

  • Identity evaluation(s) – Select View in Alloy to see the full identity evaluation decision in the Alloy Platform. If there is more than one Alloy evaluation, select the down arrow next to the link shown to open a list of previous evaluations. For more information on Alloy and the identity decisioning process, see About Identity Decisioning.

  • Identity evaluation tags – Criteria that the applicant met when they were evaluated in Alloy, for example, KYC DOB Match, KYC Address Match, KYC Name Match, KYC SSN Match, Phone Match. If there is more than one Alloy evaluation, the tags shown are from the most recent evaluation.

Business Details (Business Only)

This section displays for business applications only.

The following fields are shown:

  • Business type – Either Corporation, General Partnership, Limited Liability Company (LLC), or Sole Proprietorship

  • Phone number

  • Email

  • Physical address

  • Mailing address

  • Date of organization/partnership/incorporation – For LLCs, general partnerships, or corporations

  • State of organization/partnership/incorporation – For LLCs, general partnerships, or corporations

  • Tax ID/EIN – The Federal Tax ID or IRS Employer Identification Number (EIN)

  • Identity evaluation(s) – Select View in Alloy to see the full identity evaluation decision in the Alloy Platform. If there is more than one Alloy evaluation, select the down arrow next to the link shown to open a list of previous evaluations. For more information on Alloy and the identity decisioning process, see About Identity Decisioning.

  • Identity evaluation tags – Criteria that the business met when they were evaluated by Alloy, for example, Secretary of State Match, Business Name Matched, Address Matched, FEIN Found.  If there is more than one Alloy evaluation, the tags shown are from the most recent evaluation.

  • Industry – The industry entered by the applicant; determined from the entered NAICS code—the business’ six-digit North American Industry Classification System Code

Ownership Details (Business Only)

This section displays for business applications only. Use the down arrow next to each owner’s name to open details.

The following fields are shown:

  • Name

  • Phone number

  • Email

  • Date of birth

  • Social security number/ITIN – SSN or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). Select the eye icon to reveal the number, select again to hide the number

  • Ownership percentage – Percentage of ownership in the business

  • Role – For applicants who are not beneficial owners

  • Physical address

  • Mailing address

  • Control person – Yes or No to whether the control person has the ability to control, manage, or direct the business. To comply with BSA regulations, there must be at least one control person indicated to proceed with the application.

  • Authorized signer – Yes or No to whether an authorized signer is legally permitted to spend or commit monies on behalf of the business

  • Existing applicant – Yes or No to whether the applicant has existing accounts at your financial institution

  • Selected core id – The applicant’s assigned core user ID. If your institution is a credit union, the existing member’s selected core user ID is shown. Your institution can enable this field in the Admin Platform under Configurations > Institution Settings > Show selected core user ID.

  • Identity evaluation – Select View in Alloy to see the full identity evaluation decision in the Alloy Platform. For more information on Alloy and the identity decisioning process, see About Identity Decisioning.

  • Identity evaluation tags –  Criteria that the beneficial owner or authorized signer met when they were evaluated in Alloy, for example, KYB DOB Match, KYC Address Match, KYC Name Match, KYC SSN Match, Phone Match

Additional Ownership Details (Business Only)

This section includes the same fields as the Ownership Details section above. This displays only if additional beneficial owners or authorized signers were added by the business applicant.

Accounts and Funding

This section contains the following fields:

  • Funding account – The method and account used for funding, for example, "Card XXXX4747." This field can also show "Opted out" if the user skipped funding, "Cash/check deposit" if the user funded with cash or check, and "None" if the user has not yet completed the funding step.

    Note: To protect customers from fraud, some financial institutions share a Tokenized Account Number (TAN), which is a substitute routing and account number pair used in place of an actual account number for debit or credit transactions. When reviewing applications, please keep in mind that the funding account number shown could be a TAN and, therefore, not match the user’s actual account number. This explanation appears when selecting the info icon next to the card number.

  • Funding processor The processor who generates the NACHA files for funding; this displays one of the following:

    • Authorize.net – for ACH transactions using Authorize.net, such as debit/credit card transactions and linked external accounts (manual or IAV)

    • Internal account - for linked internal accounts (accounts with your institution). This funding type is available from the Consumer Account Opening in Digital Banking flow.

    • Narmi – for FIs using Narmi AO ACH Service, this is for ACH transactions via linked external accounts (manual or IAV)

  • Account number – The account number generated on the core banking system. This only displays if the application is in the “Opened” or “Opening Failed” statuses. The “Opening Failed” status can still result in account numbers if an error occurs during the opening of the account on the core. For more information, go to Core Banking System Outages or Errors.

  • Product (Savings, Checking, etc.) – The amount of initial funding allocated to the selected product. "Not yet funded" shows in this field for the following scenarios:

    • If the applicant has not funded their account and the application is still in "Creating" status (all steps pre-funding in the Account Opening flow)

    • If the applicant chooses not to fund their account. This is only available to applicants if your institution has enabled the institution setting “Optional funding for products with $0 minimum balance.”

  • Courtesy pay – If "Yes," the applicant opted in to Courtesy Pay (for institutions that have it enabled)

  • Debit card – If the applicant requested a debit card, this field shows “Created for [account number].” If the applicant did not request a debit card, the value will be “None Requested.”

  • Referral code – If the applicant applies with a referral code, it will appear here; otherwise, "None" shows. Go to Refer a Friend/Member for more information.

Account Activity

This section displays answers to the customer due diligence questions in the user's application. You can configure these yes/no questions in the Admin Platform under Institution Settings > Customer Due Diligence Consumer Questions or Customer Due Diligence Business Questions.

Metadata

This section displays relevant metadata for a user’s application, depending on the institution.

  • Debit Card Status – Either “Created for [account number],” “None Requested,” or “Requested but no eligible accounts.”

  • applicantYesNoResponses – Applicant responses to eligibility questions

  • key name (various) – Any additional custom metadata captured from the “Application Tracking” section of the Staff-Led Account Opening flow. The key name varies depending on what your institution has configured. Go to the Application Tracking step in the Pre-KYC section for more information.

Disclosures

If this section shows "Accepted," the applicant accepted the Terms & Conditions disclosure while opening an account. This is the record of the applicant accepting the terms, which includes the timestamp of when the disclosures were accepted.

Documents (Business Only)

This section shows the business documents that were uploaded for business applicants. Select a document link to open the file.

Documents uploaded depend on the business type:

  • LLC – Articles of Organization, EIN Verification Letter (optional)

  • General Partnership – Business Registration

  • Corporation – Business Registration

  • Sole Proprietor (DBA) – DBA Certificate

  • Sole Proprietor (not a DBA) – No documents

Application History

The history timeline displays the application's lifecycle and provides easy access links and alert banners. Select View All to see the full application details.

This section shows:

  • Application lifecycle steps in user-friendly language, such as "Application submitted," "Funding initiated," and "Opening account..."

  • Source of the application (where it was started), either "account opening," "online banking," or "staff-led." For example, if the application began in the account opening flow, the timeline would show "Source set to account opening."

  • View in Alloy link to see the full identity evaluation decision in the Alloy Platform. For more information on Alloy and the identity decisioning process, see About Identity Decisioning.

  • View Application link to open the full application details

Eligibility Answers

This section displays answers to eligibility questions asked in the Account Opening flow.

Notes

Your staff can use this open input text box to enter any internal notes about the application.

Transactions from This Application

This section displays the Narmi AO ACH Service funding transactions associated with this application.
