Create a New Persona

Create a new persona to deliver personalized Consumer Account Opening products to your applicants. Any applicants who fit the persona criteria or go to the URL you provide them will see personalized products in the "Choose your accounts" page of the Consumer Account Opening flow.

To create a new persona:

1. From the Admin Platform, select Account opening > Personas > New persona.
   
   
2. On the page that appears, there are three sections to complete in any order.
   • Persona details – Enter the following information to identify the persona:
     • Persona name – Internal name of the persona; this is used to create the URL you may generate
     • Description – Internal description of the persona; this is not shown to customers
     • Generate URL – Select whether you would like to generate a URL to send to customers, Yes or No. All applicants who use the URL will see the persona-specific products even if they don't fit the user type parameters (specified below).
       
   • User type – Configure which users will see the recommended products:
     • User type – Select whether you would like to specify an age range or specific location for the persona, either Yes or No.
       
       If Yes, select the Age box that appears and use the sliders to set the age range. Or select the Location box that appears and select State, City, or ZIP Code. Enter the appropriate state, city, or ZIP Code text in the box provided and select the return/enter key on your keyboard to accept.
       The age and location parameters use "OR" logic. If you enter both an age parameter and a location parameter in the same persona, applicants who fit one or the other will see the persona-specific products. For example, if your persona's age is 13-18 and the location is New York State, it will apply to applicants age 13-18 OR applicants in New York State. An applicant who is 56 and lives in New York State will see the persona-specific product because they fit one of the parameters.
       Note: User type does not apply to the URL. All applicants who use the URL will see the persona-specific products even if they don't fit the user type parameters.
       
       
     • Joint applicants – Select whether you would like to have the persona apply to joint applicants, either Yes or No. Select Yes if both the primary and joint applicants must match the user type parameter to see the persona-specific products. For example, if your persona offers a special checking product to users in Ohio and your Joint applicants setting is Yes, when an applicant opens a joint account, the address for both the primary and the joint must be in Ohio for the applicant to see the special checking product. Select No if only the primary applicant must match the user type parameter to see the persona-specific products.
       
       
   • Product selection – Choose Select accounts to pick the products this persona will offer.
     
     In the side panel that appears, check the boxes next to the products you'd like to offer and select Save selection.
     
     Answer the following additional questions that appear:
     
     
     • Do you want to pre-select these products for users? – Select Yes if you would like to have these products pre-selected for users in the Account Opening flow. Select No to not have products pre-selected.

     • Do you want to show all other default products in addition to this selection? – Select Yes to display all other products your institution offers along with your selections. If you select Yes, your selections will be recommended and override any default recommendations. To customize your institution's default recommendations, please contact support@narmi.com.

       Select No to display only the products in the Current selection box. The tabs for different product categories will not show. This is what the account selection page looks like when No is selected:
       
       
3. Select Save. A confirmation message appears and your new persona is immediately active. Copy the persona URL using the copy icon.
