Article summary

By linking organizations, a user associated with multiple businesses can access Digital Banking via a single login that allows them to see all their accounts in the same dashboard, even if they are tied to different EINs. For example, an Org Account Holder contacts your institution to link their three business accounts. Once your staff verifies that the request is appropriate and compliant, you can easily link these organizations in the Admin Platform. Once the businesses are connected, users with appropriate access can view accounts, transfer funds instantly, and manage sub-users across all three businesses.

When organizations are linked, the following conditions apply:

  • The Account Holder’s primary business is considered the “controlling” org, and the linked businesses are considered the “affiliated” orgs. The sub-users associated with the controlling org are one-directionally linked to the affiliated businesses and able to access the affiliated businesses’ accounts.

    • For example, Business A is the controlling org with 3 sub-users, and Business B is the affiliated org with 10 sub-users. The 3 sub-users of Business A will be able to see Business B’s accounts, but there is no change to the 10 sub-users of Business B.

  • Individual permissions of the linked business sub-users do not change. Account Holders or Admins can change sub-user account access in Manage Users.

  • All Account Holders and Admins associated with the controlling org can view and transfer funds across all linked businesses’ accounts.

  • All Collaborator and Viewer sub-users with access to “All accounts” in Manage Users can view all linked businesses’ accounts.

  • All Collaborator sub-users with access to “Make internal transfers” in Manage Users can make internal funds transfers to the accounts they have access to across the linked businesses. These sub-users can make internal transfers up to their segment limit or the individual user limits set by the organization.

    • For example, Business A is the controlling org with a $1000 daily wire segment limit, and Business B is the affiliated org with a $5000 daily wire segment limit. The sub-users who log in with the credentials associated with Business A would only be able to send $1000 in daily wires for all accounts associated with the linked businesses. For more information on segment limits, go to Business Transfer Limits.

  • Narmi does not charge for an ACH transfer when funds are sent from one business to another if those businesses are linked.

  • Statements for linked businesses can be viewed in Documents/Statements.

  • Core IDs do not need to be enrolled in Narmi to be linked.

  • Your staff can view the core IDs of the businesses linked to a user in their user profile sidebar in the Admin Platform.

Note: Multi-entity aggregation is a high-risk action and should only be performed if requested by the Account Holders and after your staff independently verifies that linking is appropriate. For more information on the implications of this feature, please contact your Narmi Relationship Manager.
