Reset Password for a User

You can manually reset a user's password from the user's profile in Narmi Command for customers/members and staff. This action provides an onscreen reset password link that you can share with the user. The link expires after a short time. The link is helpful for your financial institution when testing in your UAT environment since UAT environments do not send reset password emails. For information on how users can reset their own passwords, go to Username Recovery and Password Reset or User Profile.

To manually reset a user's password for them:

  1. From the Narmi Command sidebar, select Customers/Members or Staff members > Staff, depending on the user type.

  2. From the user list, select a user's name to open their profile. 

  3. From the Actions menu, select Reset password.

  4. A confirmation message appears. Select Yes, send password reset.

  5. The reset link appears onscreen to copy and share with the user.

  6. When the user opens the link, they are directed to the reset password page.
