Here are some helpful tips to provide the best user experience from your Product List.
Product Information
- For Product name and Description, be clear and concise, using only a few words.
- For Details #1, 2, and 3:
- Use concise selling points. Shorter text is easier to read and more visually pleasing.
- Explain what is unique about this account and why the applicant should select it.
- Don't list account restrictions (unless they are highly important restrictions).
- Don't use URLs for these bullet points, use the More details URL field instead.
- Some examples of items to include – Percent cash back, savings rates, fee reimbursements, and minimum balance
- The More details URL should be used to provide fine print information about the product. The URL format must start with
https://
. - For Certificates of Deposits (CDs), put the timespan and annual percentage yield (APY) in the separate fields provided; don’t include all this information in the CD name.
Activating / Deactivating Products
- Deactivate products that are seasonal, if you plan to offer them again later on.
- If you will never offer the product again, you should delete it.
- Encourage your staff to edit products, instead of deactivating them and creating new products.
Example
Below is a Product List example with two accounts. On the left is the Special Debit Checking account, which is clear and concise, and easy for the applicant to read. On the right is the Checking account, which has a long list of complicated benefits and two external links. This takes the applicant more time to read.
