Manage Wire Templates

Businesses can create new wire templates and edit or delete existing templates. The instructions below are similar for web and mobile apps.

In this article:

Create a New Template

  1. From web or mobile banking, select Transfer > Wire > Send via template.

  2. If this is your first time using wire templates, you are automatically prompted to set up a new template.Wire transfer options include sending with or without a template, and setting up templates.

    If you already have existing templates, select Manage templates.

  3. On the Templates page that appears, select New template.

  4. In the side panel that opens, you can create a template from an existing wire recipient or create a new recipient.Recipient details section with options to add new recipients and funding account information.

    1. To create from an existing recipient, select the recipient name from the list. To manage wire recipients on the web app, go to Wire Recipients. To manage wire recipients on the mobile app, go to Manage Wire Recipients.

    2. To create a new recipient, select Add a new recipient from the list. Enter the recipient’s name, address, account number, and routing number, then select Add recipient.

  5. The recipient details auto-populate. Add the following template details. Note: Any optional fields that are left blank in the template will be required for the sender to complete during the transfer.

    • Template name – Enter a name that will display above the recipient name in the wire transfer flow

    • Funding account – Select the account the wire will be sent from

    • Wire reason (optional) – Select a reason for the wire. To customize wire reasons, go to Narmi Command under Configurations > Institution Settings > Wire Reason Types. To view the wire reason for a transaction, go to Narmi Command under Transactions > Wire manager > View all wire transactions.
      The default wire reasons are:

      • Dividends

      • Interest payment on loan

      • Investments

      • Non-dividends distributions

      • Payments for products

      • Payments for services

      • Purchase of real estate

      • Rent

      • Return of loan principal

      • Transfer between own accounts

      • Other

    • Amount (optional) – Enter the amount of the transaction. Wire transfer limits can be applied for individuals or organizations via segmentation. For more information, go to Transfer Limits.

    • Memo (optional) –  Enter a note about the transaction (up to 140 characters)

      Select Save. The new template automatically appears on the Templates page.

Edit a Template

  1. From web or mobile banking, select Transfer > Wire > Send via template > Manage templates.

  2. On the template card you’d like to edit, select the 3 dots, then select Edit.Templates for sending money, including options to edit or delete entries.

  3. In the side panel that opens, make your changes and select Save.

Delete a Template

  1. From web or mobile banking, select Transfer > Wire > Send via template > Manage templates.

  2. On the template card you’d like to edit, select the 3 dots, then select Delete.Templates for sending money, including options to edit or delete entries.

  3. On the confirmation dialog that appears, select Yes, delete.Confirmation dialog asking to delete the item named 'Flowers'.
