By linking another profile, users can seamlessly switch between multiple accounts, without having to log out. This feature is convenient for owners of multiple businesses, a business user with different sub-accounts, or a user with multiple consumer and business accounts. This option can be enabled by contacting your Narmi Implementation Manager.
The Link another profile option is only available if your institution has two-factor authentication enabled AND only when the user selects Remember this device upon verifying their identity at log in.
Link a New Profile
To link another profile:
- Log into the first profile and select Remember this device on the "Let's verify your account" page.
- Select the name menu and then select Link another profile. Note: If users do not see this option in the name menu, check that they completed step 1, and that your institution has two-factor authentication enabled.
- Enter the username and password of the Digital Banking account to be linked. Select Log in.
If two-factor authentication is enabled at your institution, a prompt appears for the user to verify their identity by entering the code sent to their trusted device.
The account dashboard of the new profile appears automatically.
Switch Profiles
To switch profiles:
- Select the name menu. The currently logged-in profile has a checkmark next to it.
- Select the profile to log in as. The account dashboard of the selected profile appears automatically without the user having to enter a password or verify with two-factor authentication.
Unlink a Profile
To unlink a profile:
- Select the name menu. The currently logged-in profile has a checkmark next to it. Next to the profile to be unlinked, select the three dots, then select Unlink.
- A confirmation dialog appears. Select Unlink.
Troubleshooting Unlinked Profiles
If a user does not see their linked profile(s) upon logging in to Digital Banking, it may be due to one of the following scenarios:
- Selecting “Forget this device” – If a user selects Forget this device from the name menu, their linked profiles will be unlinked. For more information, go to Forget This Device and Logout
- Logging in without selecting "Remember this device" – If a user does not select Remember this device on the "Let's verify your account" page, their linked profiles will be unlinked.
- Using Incognito Mode – Incognito mode, also known as private browsing mode, is a feature available in most web browsers that allows users to browse the Internet without storing browsing history, cookies, or other data on the device. If a user is accessing Digital Banking from incognito mode, their linked profiles will not appear in the name menu.
- Deleting cookies – Cookies contain information such as login credentials, preferences, and browsing activity. Deleting them removes personalized website settings such as linked profiles.
