The "Update user data from core" action can only be applied to non-staff users who do not have an organization associated with their account, OR business Account Holders. This action calls the core and pulls the latest data for the user. Once you select Update user data from core, a confirmation message appears. Select Yes, update user to proceed, or select Cancel to exit without changes. The task may not render immediate results.
Note: The "Update user data from core" action simulates the same update that occurs when a user logs in.
The following data is affected by this action:
Accounts
New accounts found in the core will be added to the Narmi database. For active accounts that are created, all transactions from the core are added. Transactions are not deleted from the Narmi database.
Existing active accounts will be updated in the Narmi database to match the core. This includes ledger_balance, available_balance, metadata, name, whether it is a valid transfer source or destination, and check MICR.
Any accounts removed from the core will also be removed from the Narmi database. For accounts removed from the core, if the institution has MX, the account will be deleted from MX.
The accounts visible to a user will be updated in the Narmi database based on the core account's state (which can be closed or active) and financial institution-specific account accessibility rules.
If the user is identified as a joint account holder in the core, a link to the joint account will be created in the Narmi database. Joint account holders of a removed account will lose permission to that account.
User information
The following user information will be updated in the Narmi database to match the core:
First name (consumers only, not businesses)
Last name (consumers only, not businesses)
Email address
Address and address type
First phone number, as specified in the core (consumers only, not businesses)
For business users only, their associated organization's name will update to the organization's name on the core.
E-Statements
E-statements will be updated in the Narmi database to match the core if the institution setting
Core Update E-Statement
=true
in Narmi. This setting determines whether the core supports updating e-statements. Please contact support@narmi.com to update this setting.
Segments
If the core has segments, the user's segment will be updated in the Narmi database to match the core.
