Article summary

To ensure transaction data in Narmi accurately reflects the core, use the Refresh transactions action to update transaction records for a specific account. This action ensures that transaction data from the last 60 (non-business) days matches the core exactly.

Why Not Use “Delete voided transactions”?

The Delete voided transactions action retrieves transactions from the last 10 days for all user accounts to find mismatches with the core. It only deletes transactions that have an “unknown” state (not confirmed on the core) in Narmi’s database. However:

  • It doesn’t update transactions with incorrect information already in the database.

  • It only checks the last 10 days, not the full 60-day window.

By contrast, Refresh transactions removes all transactions from the last 60 days for the selected account, ensuring a complete refresh.

The Refresh transactions action updates transactions in three steps:

  1. Delete Existing Transactions (Last 60 Days) – The system deletes all transactions from the last 60 days associated with the selected account in Narmi’s database. This ensures a clean slate for a full refresh, avoiding discrepancies.

  2. Reimport Transactions from the Core – After clearing the account’s transactions, Narmi pulls in all up-to-date transactions from the core for the last 60 days. This ensures all fields match the core and eliminates any mismatches within the 60 days.

  3. Mark Transactions as Confirmed – Once transactions are refreshed, they are marked as “confirmed” in Narmi’s database. Transactions not found on the core within the 60-day window are removed. This guarantees that all refreshed transactions align with the core data.
