Your staff can easily convert users from consumer (personal) type to business type if they were set to consumer by mistake. For instance, this may be needed if your institution has a business user who enrolled incorrectly or was converted incorrectly during conversion to Narmi. This process requires manually locking the user, editing the user's username so it can be re-used, and instructing the user to re-enroll as a business user.
Note: You can also use this process to convert a business user to a consumer user by having them select Personal in step 3 below.
- From the Admin Platform, lock the existing user. To do this, select Users > Manager users > select the user's name > Actions > Lock User. For detailed instructions, go to Lock or Unlock User.
- From the user profile's sidebar, select Edit. Change the user's existing Username from "username" to "username_archived." This allows the user to keep the same username and avoid username conflicts. For detailed instructions on editing user information, go to Edit User Information.
- Instruct the user to re-enroll from Digital Banking. The re-enrollment should be done as the business Account Holder. To do this, from your institution's Digital Banking URL, the user should select Get started in the upper right corner.
On the "Tell us more about you" page, they should select Business.
When they get to the "Create your login" page, they should enter their existing username and then follow the rest of the enrollment steps as normal.
