Edit an Account Name (Nickname)

Users can easily edit their account names (assign a nickname) in Narmi Banking. Giving the account a nickname can help users:

  • Quickly identify the purpose or goal of each account, such as “Vacation Savings” or “Emergency Fund”

  • Distinguish between different business accounts, such as payroll or operating expenses

  • Differentiate between accounts of the same type

  • Update accounts following major life events, such as marriage, divorce, or adding new family members to accounts

The updated account name does not save to the core by default, but is viewable to your staff in Narmi Command and via emulation. If you would like nicknames saved to your core, please contact your Narmi Relationship Manager.

To edit an account name:

  1. On the web app, select an account from the dashboard or select Accounts from the top navigation bar, then select the account name. On the account page that appears, hover over the account name and select the edit icon that appears.

    On the mobile app, select an account name > select the three dots on the upper right > Edit account name.

  2. In the dialog that appears, edit the name and select Save.

  3. A confirmation message appears.
