Direct deposit in Narmi Banking is a secure and convenient way for your consumer users to automatically receive payments, such as their salary, tax refunds, or government benefits, directly into their accounts. By setting up direct deposit, they’ll gain immediate access to their funds on payday, eliminating the need for trips to the bank. For your institution, direct deposit reduces administrative costs, enhances security, and increases customer satisfaction and primacy.
Consumer users have two options for direct deposit: automated and manual.
Automated – Narmi Banking integrates with Pinwheel for automated direct deposit. Pinwheel is a fintech company that provides an API platform designed to connect financial institutions and other businesses to consumer payroll data. Users grant Pinwheel permission to connect directly to their payroll platform, allowing for automatic updates to their direct deposit information without needing to leave the banking app.
Manual – Users can copy their onscreen account number and routing number, which they can use to manually update their payroll portal or elect to download a pre-filled direct deposit form to submit to their employer.
To enable direct deposit at your institution, please contact your Narmi Relationship Manager. They will also configure the eligible product types for direct deposit (e.g., checking, savings, etc.).
