The mobile app opens to the Home screen—a scrollable feed where users can easily find what they need on the go. The feed provides an overview of accounts and recent transactions, as well as services your financial institution offers. With mobile banking, users can quickly make transfers, make remote deposits, view statements, and perform other tasks. This article describes features of the home screen, from top to bottom.

Note: For security, we prevent third-party apps from screen recording the mobile app experience.

Top Navigation

On the top of the mobile home screen, select the envelope icon to view secure messages. A dot shows on the envelope icon if there are unread messages. User interface showing account balance and email icon highlighted.

If you have another profile linked, and you're already logged in, you can select the profiles icon to switch profiles. Go to Link Another Profile for more information.

Announcement

Across the top of the home feed, your institution can display a banner announcement to users. The announcement appears for a user until they select the "X" to the right of the banner to close it. Once closed in the mobile app, it will not reappear during the current mobile session, but will reappear on subsequent mobile sessions.

The announcement can be customized in Narmi Command under Institution settings > Announcement.

Greeting

The mobile app greeting for consumer users includes their first name and a time-based greeting, either Good morning {first name}, Good afternoon {first name}, or Good evening {first name}. Note: if the user’s name is unavailable, the greeting will only say Good morning, Good afternoon, or Good evening, without a name.

The mobile app greeting for business users includes their first name if their user profile has one. If they don’t have a first name on their user profile, they will see a time-based greeting.

The mobile app determines morning, afternoon, or evening using the user’s local time:

Between 2:00 am and 12:00 pm = morning
Between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm = afternoon
Any other time = evening

Guides

If your institution has set up Guides, users can unlock the full value of your banking services by completing key actions from the top of the mobile home screen. Your staff can easily create and manage these targeted guides in Narmi Command, adding tasks such as downloading the mobile app, adding team members for business banking, and enrolling in paperless statements. Accounts

Select an account on the mobile home screen to view its details. To view all accounts, select the arrow. For more details, go to View, Favorite, or Hide Accounts.

Recent Transactions

Below accounts on the mobile home screen, you'll find the most recent transactions across all accounts. Pending transactions are pinned to the top of this list, and the list displays up to five of the latest transactions. Select a transaction to view its details. For more information, go to Transactions.

Note: Activity from hidden accounts does not appear in Recent transactions.

Card Subscriptions

Under recent transactions, you’ll see a Card subscriptions widget. This feature provides users with a clear view of recurring Visa card transactions, which helps them identify forgotten subscriptions and make more informed spending decisions. For added convenience, users receive direct contact information for major merchants, streamlining the process of reducing unwanted expenses. To enable card subscriptions at your institution, please contact your Narmi Relationship Manager. For more information, go to Card Subscription Management.

Verify External Accounts

If applicable, you can verify linked accounts from the mobile home screen. For more information, go to Linked Accounts.

Promotional Offer Cards

At the bottom of the mobile home feed are promotional offer cards, which show targeted services that your financial institution offers. For more information, go to Promotional Offer Cards.

Integrated Services

On the mobile home feed, below the promotional cards, is a carousel of cards for optional services that your financial institution may offer. Please contact your Narmi Relationship Manager to customize this carousel. Services can include:

Open an account directly from mobile banking
Our NAF App functionality allows you to embed third-party applications in Narmi Banking. You can opt to display these NAF Apps as cards in this carousel. For more information, go to NAF Apps.
Note: You can customize the order in which the NAF Apps are displayed in the mobile app carousel, allowing you to prioritize which apps users see first. To change the order, please contact your Narmi Relationship Manager.

Bottom Navigation Bar

From the bottom navigation bar, select Transfer to transfer money, Deposit to deposit checks remotely, or More to access more mobile options.
