When your institution manually updates a member ID number for an account directly on the core, the update only affects the core's operating system—nothing is updated in the Narmi platform. Your institution must let Narmi know when you manually change a member ID, so we can manually update data in the Narmi database. 

For example, if a member's account is compromised and your institution changes their member ID on the core, please inform your Narmi Relationship Manager so we can manually reconcile the historical transactional data between the old member ID and the new member ID.
